🥐 Sausage and Cheese Crescent Ring
⭐ Ingredients
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (optional but makes it creamier)
- 1–2 green onions, sliced (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1–2 tbsp milk (optional, to loosen filling)
🔥 Instructions
1. Cook the sausage
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned.
- Drain excess grease.
- Stir in cream cheese, garlic powder, pepper, and green onions (if using) until melted and combined.
- Mix in the shredded cheese last, stirring until melted.
If mixture seems too thick, add 1–2 tbsp milk.
2. Prep the crescent ring
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough and arrange the triangles in a circle, wide ends toward the center, points outward, overlapping slightly.
(It should look like a sun.)
3. Add the filling
- Spoon the sausage mixture around the center ring where the dough overlaps.
4. Fold and seal
- Fold the pointed ends of the crescent triangles over the filling and tuck under the center.
- It’s fine if some filling shows.
5. Bake
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
